De Communities Rijksoverheid app helpt je geïnformeerd en in contact met je collega te blijven. De app geeft je toegang tot de meest essentiele functionaliteit op de community platformen van de Rijksoverheid, zoals tijdlijnen en notificaties. 
Na het installeren van deze app kan je kiezen met welk community platform jij wilt verbinden door de URL van het platform in te voeren. Daarna kan je direct inloggen met jouw persoonlijke account.
Je wordt continu op de hoogte gehouden door middel van push notificaties. Daarnaast kan je op de tijdlijn de bijdragen uit je organisatie inzien, kan je zelf snel content toevoegen en het gehele platform doorzoeken.
